The 1X12MW self owned power plant project of Zimbabwe's lithium mine is located in Manilanka, Bukhara District, District 12, Muksiwa Village, Sabi Star Mine. Planned total installed capacity: Utilize an old 75t/h high-temperature and sub high pressure circulating fluidized bed boiler+a 12MW condensing steam turbine generator unit (generator 15MW). The power generated by the unit can be used to supply electricity for production and daily life in the mining area, replacing existing diesel generator sets and achieving the goal of reducing production costs. Shengding Holdings (Private) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of SLY Industrial Group, undertook the overall commissioning service tasks and post operation and maintenance business of the project's units.

1、 Strictly fulfill the contract and make every effort to solve construction problems

      After the contract came into effect, Shengding Holdings (Private) Co., Ltd. dispatched a professional debugging team to enter the site on April 10th. They assisted the installation unit in solving problems during construction, worked overtime, worked day and night, and the overall single unit test was smooth. However, two major problems were encountered during the joint test drive: due to the use of old equipment, the coal quality and type on site did not match the boiler, and the ignition point of wolftooth coal was high. The ignition under the bed was repeatedly unsuccessful. The operation and maintenance personnel of Shengding made a decisive decision and adopted the method of adding charcoal to the bed for ignition. The boiler was successfully ignited and the related work such as boiling and blowing pipes was successfully completed. The second challenge is that the vibration of the steam turbine exceeds the standard severely when it rotates to 1000rpm. In order to ensure the safety of the steam turbine equipment, the on-site person in charge strongly suggested that the owner conduct a cylinder opening inspection. After multiple persuasions, the on-site representative of the owner listened to our opinions and entrusted Shengding Holdings (Private) Co., Ltd. with full responsibility for the cylinder opening and repair task. After receiving the task, professional installation and maintenance personnel were immediately selected from China. After day and night efforts to catch up with the progress, the cylinder was fastened on April 30th, and the steam turbine maintenance work was successfully completed. On May 1st at 21:50, the boiler was ignited, and on May 3rd at 8:55, the steam turbine was warmed up and started. At 9:14, it successfully passed the critical speed and set the speed at 3000rpm. The unit was successfully connected to the grid at 10:43.

2、 Realize single machine isolated network operation and successfully complete the 72h+24h thermal load trial operation task

      Due to the low electricity demand of lithium mining equipment, single machine isolated network operation has become a new challenge. After multiple grid connection themed meetings, the power plant shift chief coordinated and commanded the start and stop of diesel generators and synchronous load transfer. The generator set achieved single machine isolated grid operation at 12:45 on May 10th. On May 19th at 3:08, the 72h+24h heat load test task was successfully completed, which received high satisfaction and recognition from the owner.

3、 Carefully cared for, the unit has been operating smoothly for 5 months without any accidents

      Upon confirmation by both Party A and Party B, May 20, 2025 will be the first operation and maintenance day, and thus Shengding Holdings (Private) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of SLY Industrial Group, will officially take over the operation and maintenance tasks. As of October 19th, the unit has been running smoothly for exactly 5 months. During the operation and maintenance period, a total of 436 defect elimination projects and 8 technical renovation projects have been completed. We have focused on solving issues such as high vibration in the secondary fan pipeline, malfunction of the induced draft fan baffle door, circulating ash leading to cold slag, and oil leakage in various equipment. The current main equipment is running smoothly, with zero accidents in safe production and a cumulative power generation of 2141.73MW, making a positive contribution to the low-cost production and operation of lithium ore beneficiation plants.
